Sri Lankan Passion
With recipes inspired by Fleur Perera - author of "The Lazy Sri Lankan Cook", her own on-line cookbook of family Sri Lankan recipes. this clss will introduce you to the flavours of her native Sri Lanka, with family recipes and those used by the Sinhalese people from the southern part of Sri Lankan.Fleur has adapted many of the traditional recipes handed down her family-line with ready-made commercial ingredients such as pastes and powders, available from Asian stores and supermarkets, to make Sri Lankan cooking easier in the western kitchen.Where traditional Sri Lankan cooking, as Fleur's grandmother used to prepare, was quite time consuming (yet amazingly "scrumptious"), these recipes take much less time to prepare, while preserving "the taste of Sri Lanka".
Join us for this special menu of dishes which would be prepared for a traditional Sri Lankan festive meal.
